October
in Wisconsin.
Over the weekend
we drove
200 miles.
Searching
Searching
Searching
for
GLORIOUS COLORS.
Alas.
We remained in
PACKERS COUNTRY.
All the trees were
GREEN
and
GOLD.
We were
OBVIOUSLY
too early.
Thus,
ORANGE RUFFLES:
my
TRIBUTE
to fall
COLORS.
Bittersweet October.
The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking,
perfect pause between the opposing miseries of
summer and winter.

Beautiful! In Vermont, our colors just started coming in, but now it is raining and the wind is blowing all those newly turned leaves off the trees. It was very fleeting, but I did capture a bit of the autumn glory.
ReplyDeleteColors are just starting in Connecticut. Thanks for sharing. Linda
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture of fall colors. Just visited your instagram photos. Fell in love with one. Any chance of getting a copy of one? It spoke to my love of shamrocks.

gorgeous colours!! I love these bursting shades of orange and red. they remind me of sunsets, which is my most favourite colour.
ReplyDeletePretty photos. I'm not finding much red/orange leaves here either. I think they all turned early and now just the yellow ones are left.
